A superb 7 and a half mile walk over both sides of The Spectacular Clivager Gorge, The weather was pretty miserable , lots of "Clag" and drizzle, A return on a summers day is a must Route details to follow A nice gentle start to the walk before the steep climb to Thievely Pike We're going up there and along that ridge Following the track around to the "Shallow End" of the climb !! Through the gate and we start climbing Skirting around Dean Scout Looking back to Dean Scout (on the left) as we climb to the Trig point The Trig point on Thieveley Pike. Blimey, it was cold up here Cant Clough Wind farm across the valley Starting the decent to Portsmouth, It's a longer walk than you thin !!! :) Looking across to the other side of the valley and the next climb Heading up the other side of the gorgre Pot Noodle and a coffee in a a runied farm house Looking back across the gorge to the ridge i just walked across Heading back to the car now along The Burnley Way Much closer to the wind turbines here Heading down hill, Thievely Pike and nd the ridge in the background A good view of the ridge across the gorge The decent back down to the road and the car Back to top of page
