Clougha Pike
Mon 26th June 2017

This has got to be one of the best walks in Lancashire. It's always very quiet here and you rarely see any other walkers. But it's a great walk to a superb summit with fantastic views to the Lakes, Morecambe bay and all across the lancashire plain. One of my favourites.

After a lovely climb through woodland you are offered a choice of routes to the summit

Morecambe Bay comes into view

First glimpse of Clougha Pike ahead

Moody skies but a lovely rock strewn easy climb to the summit

Made it. Dodgy kness but I can still reach the summit of fells

I had pre-booked a table in the sumptious dining room

looking North towards the Howgill fells and The Yorkshire Peaks

And West across Morcambe Bay to Black Coombe and the Western Fells of The Lake District

The Bay and the trig point

Looking back to Clougha Pike on the descent

It's all downhill back to the car from here
