A walk into Bronte Country
Sunday 23rd Oct  2016
From Penistone Hill Country Park

On to the Moors from Penistone Hill car park

The track drops into the valley to Bronte Bridge

Bronte Bridge and a procession of People heading for Top Withens, the inspiration behind Wuthering Heights

The Clapper Bridge in a slightly quieter moment

The Bronte Falls, probably more spectactular after heavy rain, my route took me up the side of the waterfall

Looking down to the bridge from the waterfall as another procession of people arrive

Off across the moors on a more rugged route to Top Withens

My route meets the Pennine Way and the sign indicates that many Japanese visitors pass this way

inside the ruin of Top Withens
